Review highlights

Based on 1,429 reviews

Public Records in Brooklyn is widely appreciated for its versatile atmosphere that seamlessly transitions from a daytime restaurant and vegan café to a vibrant nightclub and live music venue by night. Reviewers consistently highlight the welcoming and attentive staff, alongside a well-curated sound system that enhances the overall experience. The seasonal menu, featuring innovative plant-based dishes and unique desserts, receives positive feedback, though some find the food respectable but not exceptional. The venue’s clean, stylish environment and its multiple event spaces contribute to its appeal as a social and cultural hub, praised for hosting diverse events and fostering a lively yet low-key vibe. Minor comments about facilities like restrooms suggest room for improvement in some operational aspects.

I rarely say this, especially while I’m still at the restaurant, but I will definitely be coming back — and I want to show this place to all my friends. It’s truly a fantastic spot! I loved every dish we tried. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, the ambiance was wonderful, and even the background sounds added to the charm. There’s just one thing that needs improvement: the toilets are overloaded and have a strong smell.

enjoyed their cocktails and the dessert a lot for my birthday. the hostess was very sweet and the atmosphere was adorb - both in the dining room and in the garden with string lights on. can recommend tom in the afternoon (a light and smooth sour) and the tahini hibiscus cheesecake (the kind of saltiness in a cheesecake was a very unique flavor profile). the food was not bad but also did not stand out too much. they did do a good job with the mushroom skewers - they tasted really like meat.

Nestled in the heart of Brooklyn, this coffee shop is a true sanctuary for the discerning palate and the culturally attuned soul. Upon entering, one is immediately embraced by the harmonious fusion of aesthetic and acoustic excellence, courtesy of a meticulously curated hi-fi sound system that elevates the experience beyond mere consumption into the realm of the sublime. The plant-based offerings are nothing short of a culinary revelation, crafted with a finesse that delights both the seasoned vegan and the most ardent omnivore alike. Complementing the sensory pleasures is an eclectic selection of alternative magazines, each a treasure trove of thought-provoking content that perfectly matches the unique, almost otherworldly ambiance of the space. This establishment is not merely a place to drink coffee; it is a cultivated retreat where every detail, from the music to the menu, speaks to a higher appreciation of life's finer things.

Public records a restaurant during the day and at night turns into a club. Beautiful sound systems and both rooms in the restaurant and in the main room. They also have a 3rd floor with a decent sound system as well. They booked tons of house d j's from all over the world. The pictures that I'm going to post are from the descendant party from Afro House

This spot in Brooklyn is a hub for culture. They are mindful of the planet (without making a big deal about it, which is very cool), and the staff is equally cool. The space itself is stylish, and I was so impressed by its sophisticated vibe that I ended up buying some records and apparel. In the evening, it turns into a reservation-only restaurant, and they frequently host music events. I would love to create a place like this!

Wonderful ambiance, spacious, welcoming. Food is great and I am in love with their ice vanilla latte. Glad to see places that bring art and people together. Also, a great spot for families with small/ young kids.
